The Association normally has two meetings each year. The spring meeting is normally the last weekend of April and the Fall meeting is normally the second weekend of September. Detailed information for these meetings is usually available about 1 month before the meeting. We try to have a copy on this page in a downloadable pdf format.

Meetings Schedule

Spring 2008 meeting was hosted by Joedy Putnal in Albany GA. Joedy had a well prepared program, which included the business meeting, Trees for Troops presentation and planning discussion by Greg Smith, Insects and Diseases of Christmas trees by Dr. Will Hudson and Joedy discussed marketing Christmas trees. His experience in insurance gives him a special perspective. He tells customers and employees that they do not sell trees, they help people buy Christmas trees. This is the mission of every Christmas tree farm that I ever visited, but I would never think of stating it that way. Lunch was at the farm followed by a tour of the farm. Joedy showed us his many successes and some not so successful experiments. The day concluded with the evening meal at Golden Corral and a speaker on the history of Southwest Georgia.    Spring 2008 pictures
